Interview with Gerad Kostak – Lendermarket Head of Growth

Welcome to Lendermarket Stars! We bring you the latest news and insights from industry experts and representatives. This time, we’re excited to introduce you to our management team. Today, we have an interview with our Head of Growth, Gerad Kostak, who shares valuable insights and updates on Lendermarket’s growth journey. Let’s dive in!

Can you share a bit about your background and how you became the Head of Growth and Marketing for Lendermarket?

Sure, my career has been in operations and business development that spans from well established global companies to early stage start-ups/unicorns. Helping to build successful operations and enterprises has been a very rewarding experience throughout my career. That is why I was so interested in Lendermarket. The stability and potential for growth of the Lendermarket platform in a burgeoning industry is something I’m very excited about.

What distinguishes Lendermarket from other platforms in the current market?

Lendermarket’s stability, higher returns, and our investors. I’ve had the opportunity to speak to many of our long-time and new investors. They all share an excitement for the platform and building a future together.

What are the main changes the platform has gone through since you joined the company?

One of the main challenges has been executing many infrastructure improvements such as the platform upgrade without disrupting service. This is one of the reasons we created the Release Notes section for our investors. They can see what’s been going on behind the scenes so to speak. The infrastructural changes that come with Lendermarket 2.0 are designed to support our community growth and build a more robust and feature-rich platform in the future.

How significant is your digital presence in your overall marketing strategy, and which online channels have proven most effective?

Our digital presence is crucial to our overall marketing strategy. In today’s digital age, having a strong online presence is not just an advantage but a necessity for reaching and engaging our current and future investors effectively. By leveraging a mix of SEO, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and video content, we can build trust, educate our audience, and drive the growth of the Lendermarket community. As for the most effective, we’re striving for a balanced approach and result.

Since investing involves a certain degree of risk, how do you address potential investors’ concerns about trust and security through your marketing efforts?

As the Head of Growth, addressing potential concerns about trust and security is one of our top priorities. Any kind of Investing always involves a degree of risk, so we take measures to ensure that our platform is as secure and transparent as possible. You can find quite a bit of educational and informative content in our blog posts around this topic. In addition, we address these concerns through platform features in order to aid investors in diversifying their investments to spread risk as well:

Automated Investment Options: Providing automated investment tools that allow investors to diversify their funds across multiple loans.

Customizable Portfolios: Offering options for investors to create customized portfolios based on their risk tolerance and investment goals.

What are the current trends in the P2P investment space, and how is the platform adapting to these changes?

The exciting trend to me is still that P2P lending continues to grow at a phenomenal rate. This holds especially true for the European platforms. Of course, there are the booms and busts of the market and we look to ensure that there are more loans available in the areas that reflect the current trends of the market. I think it is important that the Lendermarket platform itself continues to build on the stability of our investors and experience in the market.

How do you use content marketing to educate potential investors and promote your platform?

Content marketing is a cornerstone of our strategy to educate potential investors and promote our platform. Our blog is a key resource for potential investors. We regularly publish articles that cover a wide range of topics, including P2P lending basics, investment strategies, and Lendermarket news.

What are your future plans for marketing the platform? Are there any upcoming initiatives or campaigns you’re particularly excited about?

Our future plans are to continue growing our digital presence and communicating to our investors what we have to offer them. I am excited about attending more physical events like expos or conferences in the future. These are a great opportunity for face to face interaction. I would be very interested to hear from our investors about which ones they would like to see us at.

With evolving regulations in the financial sector, how do you ensure that your marketing strategies comply with the latest legal requirements while still effectively reaching your audience?

Ensuring compliance with the latest legal requirements while effectively reaching our audience requires a proactive, informed, and adaptable approach. We have established a dedicated compliance team that continuously monitors regulatory changes and updates in the financial sector. This team works closely with our marketing department to ensure that all marketing strategies and materials comply with the latest regulations.

How has the current economic climate in Europe affected the P2P investment market, and what adjustments have you made in your marketing strategies in response?

The current economic climate in Europe has undoubtedly had a significant impact on the P2P investment market and the financial sector as a whole. Economic fluctuations, geopolitical tensions, and inflationary pressures have led to a more cautious investment environment. However, despite these challenges, we utilize our marketing strategies to address these conditions and continue to foster investor confidence and growth on our platform. Emphasizing the stability and security of Lendermarket.

Can you share your personal investment philosophy and how it aligns (or contrasts) with the principles of the P2P investment platform you represent?

My personal philosophy is very much the same as what we talk about here at Lendermarket. I think diversification and balance between terms of investment based upon my willingness to take risks is at the core of it.

How do your personal experiences as an investor influence your marketing strategies for the platform? Can you provide an example how your own investment decisions helped shape a campaign or strategy?

I take my personal experience as part of the whole. I understand that the P2P investing community is a diverse one in many ways. I strive to provide informative campaigns that could be of use to our whole community.
